The Gates of Troy

It was a fatal error. That night, under the cover of darkness, the Greek fleet left its hiding place and sailed back to Troy. At the same time the warriors inside the horse slipped out into the streets of the sleeping city. Hurrying to its entrances, they slit the throats of the guards and flung open the gates. By the time the Trojans realized what was happening, the streets were full of armed men. Soon the fires started. What followed was butchery.
